EFFECT OF JOB SATISFACTION ON PRODUCTIVITY OF EMPLOYEES OF YALE FOODS LTD, OYO STATE
This research work investigated the effect of job satisfaction on the productivity of employees of Yale food Ltd, Oyo State. The research also sought to investigate the effect of job satisfaction on productivity, and to identify the job satisfaction method used by the employers in Yale food limited.
The research design is survey research design. The sample for this study comprised of one hundred (100) respondents from Yale food Limited, Ibadan. The sampling techniques that was used for this study was simple random sampling techniques while questionnaire was used to gathered data. It was designed by the researcher along with the variables under study and the questions it contains was draw from the research question.Data were analysed using chi-square formular
It was revealed that the higher the level of job satisfaction the higher the level of productivity among the workers. In Yale food limited staffs satisfaction with Job has become a necessary motivation to attaining their required productivity level.
In was concluded that management of the Yale food limited has to improve on working condition and make salary attractive to their workers, to enhance productivity.
Based on the findings, it was recommendations that; Yale Food Ltd management should motivate their Staff by providing medical attention to their workers, housing allowance, transport allowance, shift allowance, and at the end of every year they should give out incentives to their staffs,

1.1 Background to the Study
The research is interested in examining the effects of job satisfaction on productivities of employee of Yale foods limited plot 2A, Block Oluyole Estate, Ring Road, Ibadan.Locke (1976) defined job satisfaction has a pleasurable or positive emotion state, resulting from the appraised of one’s job or job experience.
The relationship of job satisfaction between increased or decreased (Low) productivity have been traced beyond the tasks itself (i.e the job) and it has been discovered that exist a lot of other variable that are incidental to the job play vital roles too e.g leadership, medical system, security of tenure etc.
Asika (1985) submitted that the satisfaction that employees derived from their employment is largely, department on the extent to which the job and everything associated with it meet their needs expectation and values which constitute a few of the associated variable of job satisfaction. Hence Inamga and et al of (1988) their contribution to the subject had opinion that the term job satisfaction with reference to employment relates to an employee’s general affective attitude or orientation toward his job to the extend that a person’s job fulfils his dominant needs and is consistent with his expectation and value, the job can be deemed to be satisfying.
Productivity improvement: – The level of productivity of workers at any point in time will be determined by their level of efficiency and effectiveness productivity is a measure of how well resources are combined and utilized. By the same taken it is a measure of what is received in turn for what is given.

Productivity recognized quality. Hence factor must be efficient enough to be able to produce according to pre – determined standard, which reflected customers expectation as follow.
- Labour must be trained to possess the right skill, knowledge and attitude to works performed in the most economic and simplified manner to produce the most qualitative (accepted) product or services.
- Materials being used must be the right quality to facilitate quality output.
- Equipment must benefit enough at all time to produce the desired quality.
Office space must be fully utilized; hygiene and housekeeping must be good enough to ensure it’s fully utilization.
Productivity also recognized quality, the level of large fulfillment describes the level of productivity of factors at a particular time to ensure high quality of output.
Labour must be fully utilized and involved in meaningful things.
Materials must not be wasted.
Offices space must be properly designed and utilized so that work process can go on smooth and easily. In addition hygiene and house keeping must be good enough to achieved the same purpose.
Any equipment like cars, typewriter, computer etc must be fully utilized.
High quality and quantity of output cannot be achieved if workers stay away to imbibe al, the required moral principle discussed above in order to ensure high performance at work.
However, before all these could be achieved the basic control process must be in place namely.
The determination of employee’s productivity standards is difficult because human capabilities are difficult to define and understand.
Therefore, a more pragmatic approach to resolving this conflict is to involve the workers in the process of defining and choosing the standards.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Successive government in Nigeria had to grapple with the problem of Job satisfaction and low productivity in the Public services poor attitude to work and general lack of enthusian among Nigeria workers.
This situation prevents the fabric and public sector. It is often claimed that people are frustrated by lack of incentives promotion, for working condition, ethnicity tribalism and general (lack of direction exhibited by people in leadership position.
This problem lead to resignation absentesim, poor productivity. It is also important to find out why people feel disenchanted, what their aspiration are, what there need are what kind of things satisfied them and now these can be provided to generated enough drive from the higher performance.

1.5 Research Hypothesis
In evaluating the research question the following hypothesis have been formulated to be tested as they relate to effect of job satisfaction on employers productivity.
Ho: There is no significant effect of job satisfaction on productivity
Hi: There is significant effect of job satisfaction on productivity
Ho: Job satisfaction method used does not have impact on employees
Hi: Job satisfaction method used has impact on employees
1.6 Significance of the Study
The result of this research may throw more light into the effects of job satisfaction on productivities of employee of Yale foods limited on their Productivity.
Whatever, contribution this research will make will be additional knowledge, the findings will be interesting to the Yale food limited as the sample of the research will be drawn from the staffs directors and every department involves in the company etc.
If the management of this company can improve the working condition and increase salaries, there will be increase in productivity in Nigeria. The research work was also studied the organization understanding of job satisfaction techniques, types and process of job satisfaction, when they can be applied. It further deats with factor that can cause job dissatisfaction in the organization and relationship and workers behavious, the instrument used for the research work is through the use of questionnaire and interview as a tool used.
1.7 Scope and Limitation of the Study
This research is limited to Yale food limited productivity, the intention of the study is to appraise effect of job satisfaction on employee productivity.
This study would have taken the research to a wider area coverage’s, that this but as a result of some difficulties associated with these.

For a detailed research work, this project shall be categorize into five chapter
Chapter one will talk about the background to the study, statement of the problem, the significance of the study, statement of hypothesis/ research question, methodology, scope and limitation.
Chapter two will explain the literature review and some theoretical framework.
In addition, it review some basic concept and definition of terms, history of the manufacturing sector in Nigeria background to adjustment and dimension of Nigeria manufacturing crisis.
Under chapter three, we will have the methodology of the subject matter which consisted of the nature of the data requirement method of data analysis, model specification and sources of data used.
Finally, the chapter five, explain the summary policy recommendation lesson and conclusion.
